ZS4 Video Editing Software (next generation Zwei-Stein Video Editor) is available for download for the Linux and Windows platforms from this website: http://www.zs4.net.

ZS4 Video Editor is free as in free beer.

If you are already a user of Zwei-Stein Video Editor 3.01, then it will be important to note that ZS4 and Zwei-Stein 3.01 are NOT compatible. You will not be able to import your 3.01 projects into the new program.

Features of ZS4 include:

Motion Png (mpng) import and export - this means that you can create a key (with key smoothing etc.) or other expensive effect for a piece of footage, and save it losslessly for import into various projects.
User defined output size and frame rate
Video/audio loops
Export uncompressed video (i420 format avi)
Integral audio dsp running 48 kHz
Better keying with rgb AND chroma key effects plus improved colour picking tools as well

i got a problem when i try to start the program it wont start does this work on Vista

28th of August 2008 ... AkoHa: hope you got a reply by now as I got to double your comment (at least for Vista).

I recently downloaded ZS4, installed but it won't start... on top of that, when de-installing it say that some items have to be removed manually - next, when trying to delete the ZW4 folder including sub-folders, it won't let me (even though I do have Admin rights)

Apparently the ZS4 folder and its subfolders are each write protected... and this can't be changed (in this appearance much like the "newfolder.exe")...

So now I'm kind of stuck with these folders sticking to my hard drive and the initial ZS4 software doesn't work... =(

Any helpful input is highly appreciated...
