Need help for Music Video

Hi there,
First of all let me say: Wonderfull tool. I really love it.
Ok, let's come to toppic: I'm planning to film a music video with my band, wich will include several secene of the band and alsosingle members playing their instruments. We're going to film this with the help of a playback track of the song. The same playback track will also be the audio track of the finla video. so we'll play at the right speed, BUT:
How do I get a video clip of tha bnad playing and the audio track to be synchronous when the don't start at exaclty the same point?
For example: If the Audio has 0,5 secs break before the song starts but the video has 3 secs. I can crop the start of the video -yes- but how do i find the right point without any realtime playback to check if I hit it? I don't wnat to export the video for millions of time just to check if it's synchronous now. How was it done in "A Canadian in Berlin"?

Thanks for any help.

Well actually... i guess that

Well actually... i guess thats how A Canadian in Berlin was done. I don't think theres much else i can suggest for Zwei-Stein 3.01.

ZS4 however, will have several methods for syncing audio and video. For one thing, it makes a wave form automatically for every audio track, including video tracks with audio. So you can make a pretty good match up just in the track display if the soundtracks are similiar.

There will also be a preview feature.

ZS4 is not released yet.
The first cut will come out within 2 weeks for sure, sooner if we're lucky. So maybe you can use that instead for your music video if you haven't started on editing already. We'll be posting details about the impending release shortly.

Thanks so far. Luckily we're

Thanks so far.
Luckily we're not in a hurry by now. On March 21st we'll start recording our Demo CD wich features the song it's all about. This will take about a month. Filming the Video is scheduled after that and will take at least another two weeks (we have to wait for the right weather). So maybe ZS4 has progressed far enough by that time. Also I found out i can export just a short part of the whol project, so this will be very helpfull already.
Bye,
