them's got the breaks, them's got the banks... proud to be of swiss, proud of the god-given right to supremacy, swiss society sees many of its members self-adjust the average happiness of its citizens. (kill the most unhappy one you know, and everybody else will be happier?)

this picture was taken earlier today on a walk about 100 kilometers from the origin of the rhine, on one of the bridges crossing that famous river. Its says: "Desperate? Call us. Talking about it helps.". Even though these signs are on the jump-side of the pedestrian/railroad crossing of the river, i had thought until today that most deaths occur by train (one of our friends, having witnessed such train-death at this location does not like this spot at all).

i have heard canadians mention how "clean" switzerland is: rarely do you see refuse, not even the human kind. where are the beggars and pan-handlers? and where are the bag people? where are the down-trodden and the poor? switzerland has no poverty?

an other set of canadian questions i have been facing in switzerland: you all got guns? the guns on those soldiers there are loaded? tanks drive through town? fighter planes circling often?

having spent the last 2 years in switzerland, i have been experiencing more and more of this stepford-wife-creepiness. i've felt this ever building pressure to be "adapted" or else... during the "Davos" WEF parties i've been bothered at all times of day and night with the sound of army helicopters ferrying mass-murderers to and from those "informal" discussions which cost that CNN bigwig its job... I've felt the insult implied when suggesting to local tax-payers that this kind of spending of tax money doesn't seem to do THEM any good... the tax "knee-capper" in town here called me a "chaotic", the term which in this country is used to describe people opposed to globalization (war).

i have spent time in mugabe's zimbabwe, mazambique, south africa, the US and the divided/separated east germany of old. nowhere on earth did i encounter more racism than in switzerland. they have no trouble with africans (true: i saw one two weeks ago). they have no problems with gays (i don't know any swiss gays, i think), it's just "them fucking yugo's". but yugo-hatred is not racist... they sort of white, right?

i dunno man... if they are sooo bloody rich, why do they like killing themselves so much?
